[687] Ellen, who was named for her mother, died approximately the same timeas
her mother. Aunt Myrtle says "they" thought it was from gangrene.Another
version was that there was an RH factor problem, more difficulty witheach
birth. Mama slept with one of the girls for a while after the birth
of my Mother, Inez, just to keep from getting pregnant. Butapparently
both she and Grandpa couldn't stand it for long, since Ellen was bornjust
13 months after Mom. No one knows if she and Baby Ellen could havebeen
saved, but nowdays the chances probably would be quite good.
