He settled at Oyster River, now Durham, New Hampshire in 1635. He wasamong the first settlers there. He also had a house lot on Dover Neck,100 acres on the Lamphill River and a farm at Oyster River. He was anactive church member, probably in the Episcopalian Church, and put hisname on a church petition in 1699. His name is also found on severaltax assessment rosters for the area. His will was dated April 23, 1672and proven June 30, 1674. He served on the Dover grand jury many yearsand also at Portsmouth.
