He is said to be Swedish and to have imigrated from England toPiscataqua Harbor, NH. He was a resident of Boston, MA in 1634 and wasadmitted to the church there in that same year. He was a member of theAncient and Honorable Artillery Company there. In 1673 he wasdisenfranchised because of adhering to the teachings of "heretic" AnneHutchinson. He moved to Kittry (now in Maine) after selling the"King's Arms Tavern" in Boston in 1651. At Kittery he ran an inn (an"ordinary") and a boatyard. He was in Wells, Maine in 1654. His estatewas filed in 1718 by his son0in-law, Richard Tucker.
