Nils Andersen, born around 1627, displaced his sister here (on thefarm)
so that he was the sole owner in 1679. Both Nils Jellum and TorgeirSund
complained in 1694 to the father-in-law, Narve Eikje, as they feltthat their
wives had gotten less at home than their brother Eivind. They hadgoten the
equipment in Raenset, Haugen and Slogemoen, but it was all too littlethey
said.
From 1696 or so Nils Jellum was county sheriff in Eggedal. NilsJellum
also had Asen, but this farm was taken from him in 1703 by inheritedproperty
rights. He died abt 1705. That year there was a settlement after himand
his wife Guro, who had died before 1698, the value of properties was10 in
Jellum, 2 in Asen and well over 4 in Eikje, all together 44 silvercoins to
divide. The son took over the farm.

He was present at the signing of the Magna Carta on June 15, 1215 atRunymede. He died after returning from military service from exposureand improper food.
He with his sisters were under the guardianship of thier uncle GilbertBassett in 1191. Robert came of age in 1196. Between 1195 and 1203 heand his knights were almost every year engaged in military service. Hewas made Baron of Manchester on June 25, 1204. In 1217 he was takenprisoner in the Battle of Lincoln.
